CATCHING UP WITH… YLVA THORSRUD

Time has flown by since the last Coolbet Open in November 2019. Covid 19 came and forced us to have a break but we look forward to seeing you all again on 8-14 November.

To help you back into the right spirit for the upcoming event, we caught up with some of the faces you have probably seen during the last Coolbet Open.

This time we hear from Ylva Thorsrud, a very familiar face in the Norwegian poker community and at Coolbet Open.

How has the time since the previous Coolbet Open in 2019 been for you?

Creative and innovative! I have gone from only playing livepoker to start streaming online poker on my channel Twitch.tv/jevakim during the 1,5 year with pandemic. Around 2000 hours playing poker online on Coolbet, building a community with Norwegians playing mostly 10-20€ tournaments, to winning the Norwegian Championship for Ladies live on stream on Coolbet in March 2020.

What are your expectations for Coolbet Open in November?

After playing satellites with the community of Norwegians since January 2020, the expectations are getting really high. Especially looking forward to the social part, with so many Norwegians already qualified for Tallinn.

If you could only play one event at Coolbet Open, which one would it be?

The Main Event, since nothing is more fun than a deep run in a big field.

Which player are you looking most forward to seeing at Coolbet Open in November?

All the Norwegians! With so many Norwegians going, Coolbet Open is going to get a little vibe of the Norwegian Championship in Dublin. Also looking forward to meet some of the familiar faces from Finland and Estonia that i have met during earlier Coolbet Opens.
