The Covid19 pandemic resulted in many poker events around the world being cancelled during 2020, including both the May and November edition of Coolbet Open.
For 2021 the outlook for poker events is still uncertain but if the Covid19 situation will allow it, the next Coolbet Open will be held on 8-14 November 2021. The event will be again be played at the Hilton Tallinn Park which has already been booked for the abovementioned dates.
“We know that many poker players are really looking forward to a live event again, so are we at Coolbet. There is still 10 months until November but as it looks right now, then we strongly believe that it will be possible to have a Coolbet Open in November this year”, Coolbet Poker Manager Thomas Hviid says.
“Vaccines are being rolled out and we hope that this will mean that restrictions on gatherings and travelling will be limited at that time. If that will be the case, then it will be a pleasure to welcome players in Tallinn again”.
Online satellites will start this week on Coolbet.com where players can win a package for the event. The package includes buy-in for the €550 Coolbet Open Main Event, 4 nights at the Hilton Tallinn Park, €200 in travel compensation and a nice goodiebag. See more on Coolbet.com.
In case the event will need to be cancelled due package winners will be able to choose between getting a refund in cash or use it for a later event.
“We have to highlight though that the Covid19 pandemic is unpredictable and there is of course a risk that we would need to cancel again. For this reason, we do not recommend players to book flights or hotel yet. It is also very important for us that it will not be a last-minute cancellation which will affect both players and organizers. If we will need to cancel, then we will do our best to inform players well in advance”.
Details concerning the event, including a tournament schedule, will be released during the summer.
