Now it is time to  share the good news – Coolbet Open will return on <strong>4-10 September 2023</strong>!</p><p>This time the venue will be Banco Casino in Bratislava, Slovakia, which has been hosting many poker events in recent years.</p><p>Coolbet Poker Manager Thomas Hviid explains the choice of venue:</p><p>“In March we were in Bratislava for the Poker North Masters and had many players staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel where Banco Casino is situated. We got very good feedback from the players regarding the city and the venue overall so we think that Bratislava will be a great new home for Coolbet Open”.</p><p>“Banco Casino is very experienced with hosting similar poker events like ours and is currently undergoing renovations to accommodate even bigger events. Players from all over Europe travelled to Estonia for the event and even players from Japan and Chile came especially for the event in May.</p><p>It will unfortunately be the last Coolbet Open at the Olympic Casino in Tallinn. Olympic Casino has decided that competing operators to their own local online brand, including Coolbet, will no longer be allowed to host tournaments or festivals at their premises.</p><p>This means that the planned event in October 2022 will not happen.</p><p>Coolbet Poker Manager Thomas Hviid says:</p><p>“We would like to thank Olympic Casino for their cooperation regarding the previous editions of Coolbet Open. “We are however very disappointed with getting this information from Olympic Casino after an otherwise very successful event which went very smoothly. <div id="header"><img src="https://coolbet-cms.imgix.net/blog/Coolbet-Open-ME-Final-Day-85-by-Elena-Kask_1654016751601.jpg" alt="Kaido Mikk wins the Coolbet Open Main Event" width="100%"><h1>Kaido Mikk wins the Coolbet Open Main Event</h1></div><br><p>After an almost 5 hour long heads-up, the longest in the history of Coolbet Open, Kaido Mikk from Estonia became the winner of the fifth edition of Coolbet Open Main Event.</p><p>Mikk came from behind to beat Finn Mikko Ylämäki who started the heads-up with a healthy lead. But the battle for the title went back and forth many times and eventually the cards fell in the favour of the Estonian who won with a pair of fours against Ylämäki’s J7.</p><p>Besides the title and a nice trophy, Kaido Mikk also received €65,700 while Ylämäki had to settle for €42,800.</p><p>Kaido Mikk became the second Estonian to win Coolbet Open after Ott-Kaarli Toome won in November 2019. Coincidently, Mikk and Toome actually shared a flat back when the latter won the event and they have been studying poker together.</p><p>The €550 Coolbet Open Main Event had a total of 648 entries and created a massive prize pool of €311,040.
