Five Trophies Won on Day 4 at CBO Bratislava

The highlight of the 2023 Coolbet Open Bratislava at Banco Casino in the €300,000 guaranteed Coolbet Open Bratislava €550 Main Event hosted two more opening flights with Israeli’s Yehuda Yosef taking a commanding chip lead.

However, the spotlight wasn’t purely on the Main Event as five players hoisted Coolbet Open trophies including Luis Oriel Rebolledo Araneda, Check out the spotlight of all of the side event winners below.

Luis Oriel Rebolledo Areneda Wins Coolbet Poker Nations Cup

The lights and cameras shifted away from the Main Event for one day to the competitive Event #8: Coolbet Poker Nations Cup with the final table live-streamed with Stig Moen and Jason Glatzer commentating until Chile’s Luis Oriel Rebolledo Araneda emotionally won the trophy and the €10,000 top prize.

The Nations Cup was a culmination of regional competitions with the winners heading to Bratislava equipped with a Coolbet Open package and an invite to the Nations Cup final table.

The action was competitive and it took some time before the first two players in the European qualifier in Norway’s Stig Solskjaer Johansen and Sebastian Andres Viedma Olivares hit the rail. More time passed before Iceland’s Hjoertur Davidsson and Finland’s Jaakko Hokkanen also lost their stacks.

Chip leads were flying back and forth with stacks short. The bubble broke after Canada’s Eric Beausoleil and Javier Villegas Guerrero lost their short stacks. Sweden’s Christian Saeby’s remarkable performance ended in the money in third place for €4,000 while Estonia’s Taavi Vaelisson finished one spot better in second place for €6,000.

Maksym Ronshyn Wins €225 NLH (€3,880)

Ukraine’s Maksym Ronshyn was another star on Thursday after he defeated Malta’s Brandon Mifsud heads-up to win the trophy and the €3,880 top prize. While Mifsud could not win a trophy in this event, he instead earned a healthy €2,380 runner-up prize and has his eyes on a bigger prize after bagging a big stack in the Main Event on Wednesday.

Logi Laxdel, Marcin Puczylowski, and Jeroen Aarts also cashed and took advantage of the added value thanks to the €10,000 guarantee adding up to more than what the 39 entries contributed into the prize pool.

Other Winners on Thursday

Three other winners were crowned on Thursday. Daniel Lipivoj defeated Omri Vidal (second - €2,385) heads-up to win the title in the €15,000 guaranteed Event #8: €165 NLH Turbo for €3,850.

Later in the day, a total of 80 entries got into the mixed to create a €15,200 prize pool in Event #9: €225 Pot Limit Omaha 4 & 5 Cards Round of Each. Poland’s Michal Janczarski took home €4,000 and the trophy after agreeing to a heads-up deal with Israel’s Carmel Yemini (second - €3,630).

Meanwhile, it was Coolbet Twitch streamer AcerZiggy’s night to shine as he hosted the late-night €115 AcerZiggy’s NLH Hyper Turbo. The 11 p.m. event attracted 85 entries to create a €8,075 prize pool. Two popular players in the Coolbet Open poker community in Norway’s Oddvar Schjetne (first - €1,785) and Finland’s Anne Bezdek (second - €1,780) agreed to a heads-up deal with Schjetne crowned the champion and both players going home with around the same money.

Friday (Sept. 8) Coolbet Open Schedule

The weekend is here! Therefore, we expect the action to get even bigger. Not only will today host the final two days of opening flights for the Main Event, but plenty there will be four side event winners crowned.
