Three new winners were crowned on Friday&rsquo;s Day 5 of the 2024 Coolbet Open at the Chesterfield Poker Club and the Nordic Hotel Forum including Estonia's Priit Hansalu, Finland&rsquo;s Erno Souminen, and Norway&rsquo;s Stig Mortensen.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Coolbet Open &euro;550 Main Event witnessed another 40 entries getting into the mix at the start of Friday&rsquo;s Day 2 to bring the field up to 504 entries for a tasty &euro;244,440 prize pool.&nbsp;

The action played deep into the money with the top 63 players earning at least a &euro;1,000 min-cash and 27 players advancing to Day 2.

The start of the day chip leader Hans Winther squeaked in a min-cash with a 62nd-place performance, while several other notable players advanced further despite missing out on Saturday&rsquo;s final live-streamed day including the likes of Norway&rsquo;s Ingvill Nilsen (28th - &euro;1,375), Estonia&rsquo;s Ave Lepik (29th - &euro;1,375), Finland&rsquo;s Kare Hallamaa (38th - &euro;1,225), 2019 Coolbet Open Main Event champion from Estonia Ott-Kaarli Toome (39th - &euro;1,225), and Norway&rsquo;s Oystein Stai (48th - &euro;1,100).

The two-day &euro;330 Pot-Limit 4 &amp; 5 Cards had its second and final day. The event attracted 51 entries on its opening day on Thursday to create a &euro;14,841 prizepool. The action played down to the money where the seven final table players already locked up &euro;1,000 with their eyes on the &euro;4,500 top prize.

The Estonian flag was guaranteed to be represented in the winner's circle after Norway's Joakim Fjaer exited on the podium in third place for &euro;2,200, leaving Estonia's Priit Hansalu and Finland's Riku Maatta heads-up for the title. Hansalu earned the trophy and the &euro;4,500 awaiting the winner, while Maatta took home a healthy &euro;2,950 for finishing one player shy of Coolbet Open glory.

Mixed games are growing in popularity in Norway with the help of Coolbet streamer Ylva Thorsrud and Norwegian Poker Association president Tobias Leknes among others. The action heated up for Day 4 of the 2024 Coolbet Open at the Chesterfield Poker Club and the Nordic Hotel Forum on Thursday. Poker fan favorite from Norway Ole-Johnny Fagerslett Karlsen won the biggest prize of the day after winning the two-day The Coolbet Open &euro;330 Deepstack Championship for &euro;9,820 in front of a live-streamed audience on the Coolbet Open Facebook and YouTube channels.&nbsp;
The event, which overlapped with the two opening flights of The Coolbet Open 2024 &euro;550 Main Event, attracted a field of 170 entries to create a &euro;49,470 prize pool. The 23 surviving players from the opening day were already in the money for at least a &euro;550 min-cash.&nbsp;
It appeared likely when there were five players left that the trophy would stay home in Estonia as Karlsen was pitted against four accomplished local players. The payouts were flatted thanks to the final three players agreeing to the deal after the formidable duo of Taago Tamm (fourth - &euro;4,325) and Mark Metsla (fifth - &euro;3,500) were eliminated. Karlson came out on top to win the extra money and the trophy, while Peeter Talviste (second - &euro;7,763) and Alger Pissarev (third - &euro;7,242) were rewarded handsomely for their podium finishes.&nbsp;
Two other players won side events on Thursday, including Finland&rsquo;s Eeti L&ouml;yttyniemi, who defeated 159 individual players in the &euro;150 NLH Single Entry for &euro;5,250, and Sweden&rsquo;s Karl Persson, who outlasted 111 entries in the late-night &euro;150 Sycksbe Rock'n'Roll Hyper Turbo for &euro;3,900.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, the festival highlight, the 2024 Coolbet Open &euro;550 Main Event, concluded its second and final opening flight as players.&nbsp;

&nbsp;The 2024 Coolbet Open &euro;550 Main Event has been a huge success thus far. Day 1a, which attracted 189 entries on Wednesday, is followed by a larger field of 275 entries on Thursday, bringing the field up to 464 entries, which already added &euro;225,040 to the prize pool. These figures will grow as late registration opens for the first blind level of the second day, which commences on Friday at Noon.&nbsp;
Day 1a chip leader Hans Winther from Norway parlayed his 30,000 in opening chips to 266,300. This turned out to be good enough to head into the penultimate day of the Main Event with the chip lead. Estonia&rsquo;s Karl-Julius Kalmus (242,300) isn&rsquo;t too far behind and is inches ahead of Day 1b chip leader from Norway Stein Pedersen (241,800).&nbsp;
Taago Tamm (239,000), who had a deep run yesterday in the &euro;330 NLH Deepstack is poised to make a deep run with fellow Estonians Taavi Pusa (234,000), 2019 Coolbet Open Main Event champion Ott-Kaarli Toome (203,900), and Madis Muur (199,900) all near the top of the leaderboard.&nbsp;
The action will resume at Noon on Friday, with players enjoying longer one-hour blind levels in hopes of making Saturday&rsquo;s final day, when one player will earn the right to join the elite as the latest Coolbet Open Main Event champion.&nbsp;

The third day of the 2024 Coolbet Open boasted tons of action at the Chesterfield Poker Club and the Nordic Hotel Forum on Wednesday. Estonia&rsquo;s Raiko Kukk was the star of the day after winning the Nations Cup Final, which was televised at the Coolbet Open Facebook and YouTube channels.&nbsp;
Players from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Norway, and two from Chile battled it out for personal and national glory in hopes of snagging a piece of the &euro;20,000 added prize pool. A four-way deal was agreed on the bubble, which allowed Chile&rsquo;s Christian Gonzalez to slip into the money in fourth place for &euro;1,500. Iceland&rsquo;s Hjortur Davidsson hit the rail soon after in third place for &euro;3,500, leaving Norwegian Coolbet streamer Christian Arstad and Kukk heads-up for the title. Arstad settled for the healthy runner-up prize of &euro;5,500, while Kukk earned pride for his country along with a &euro;9,500 top prize for his epic live-streamed victory.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, the much anticipated 2024 Coolbet Open &euro;550 Main Event kicked off with the first of two starting flights, and two other players won trophies on the third day of the Coolbet Open.&nbsp;
<h2 dir="ltr">Hans Winther Leads Main Event&nbsp;</h2>
The 2024 Coolbet Open &euro;550 Main Event attracted a banner field of 189 entries during the first of two opening flights, including many of the approximately 150 players who qualified online at Coolbet Poker.&nbsp;
Norway&rsquo;s Hans Winther had a day to remember as his stack soared during the final three blind levels of the day to lead the 68 survivors heading into Friday&rsquo;s day to with a stack of 266,300 off his 30,000 starting stack.&nbsp;
The Estonian duo of Karl-Julius Kalmus (242,300) and poker veteran Taago Tamm (239,000) ended Day 1a just behind Winther, while another Estonian, Ott-Kaarli Toome, with 203,900, ended the day in fourth place. Many eyes will be on Toome on Day 2 and beyond as he is on a quest to make history. He is hunting for his second Coolbet Open Main Event title after shipping the record-breaking 2019 Coolbet Open &euro;550 Main Event for &euro;71,700.&nbsp;
Another Estonian poker veteran in Madir Muur rounds out the top five of the day after bagging 199,900, while many other notable players found a bag including the likes of South Africa&rsquo;s Russel Wheatley (137,900), Peter Rees (124,500), Rob Perelman (81,900), WSOP bracelet and ring winner Ranno Sootla (80,400), and Jari Hurri (69,100).&nbsp;
The second and final opening flights begins at 12 p.m. on Thursday. Players will still be able to get into the action early on Friday as well with late registration remaining open for the first blind level of the penultimate day. Two Finnish players in Matti Liuksiala and Joni Liimatta, hoisted the trophies in both of Wednesday&rsquo;s other side events.&nbsp;
Liuksiala proved his poker prowess in the &euro;220 Pot-Limit Omaha event for &euro;3,400. The event attracted 58 four-card enthusiasts to create a &euro;11,252 prize pool.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, Dag Nilsen, also known as AcerZiggy at Coolbet Poker where he streams online, also had a moment in the sun. Nilsen managed a min-cash after taking fourth place out of 34 runners in his signature event, the &euro;150 AceZiggy Zapperjam Hyper Turbo to claim &euro;600 out of the &euro;4,452 prize pool before Liimata went on to win the event to earn the trophy and the &euro;1,780 top prize.&nbsp;
